Just a quote

I love this movie:

"I don't get"

"St. James, it's religious"

Good luck.

Day of Births, Never ending bike rides and super dads

What a weekend! After the bed and breakfast bust, I was praying for an uphill climb to the fun time station. Saturday, I had planned on riding the yellowride bike ride with Brett in memory of my papaw Gilliland "Slick" and in honor of my papaw Pritchett, Eugene. He was planning on riding the 37 mile course and I was contemplating it, but pretty sure I would stick with 10 with the mountain bike I was borrowing. I mean, Brett trained and T did not. However, humans are much more capable than we think and mix that with T-rolls will power to do it...shazam! 37 miles in Bay Minette with many hills tested my strength, but I had a great time! I am absolutely in for next year. Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure...don't mind the oodles of perspiration.

Sunday was a wonderful day for the fathers. Kade got Kev a very cool Boston Red Sox hat, clay footprints and a dog tag necklace which he hates. It was more for the keepsake aspect of it, because I was in a cheesy...let's try to make it special kind of mood. Oh, well...went right along with the rest of my gift giving. :) Then, we celebrated 4 birthdays at moms (me, Kev, Brett and Amanda). We actually had 4 cakes..yes, my mom had to get a cake for each of us. For some reason, I was super stressed out. I don't know if it was Kade's mood or the new vitamins entering my system, but my nerves were shot and it felt like I needed another weekend. However, I did enjoy spending time with the family. Ed, Alicia and fam were also in town. Amanda's family came to the party as well...it was so good to see everyone.

Today, my actual Birthday was complete with a very busy work day and a trip to the dentist. Ugh. Can you believe I accepted that on my calendar? To finish the day and make up for the misery of work and dentist, mom bought all the girls movie tickets!!! Holla. I was super excited. The Proposal = highly recommended. Well, I will quit blabbering for now. I appreciate everyone's kind words on this birthday. Love you all.

My Gift to Kev....A Migraine?

Yesterday started out being very exciting. I had a surprise for Kevin. He and I both have a birthday on Monday, but he turns the big 3-0!! I had booked a night at the Lee House, a Bed and Breakfast Inn, dowtown. It is right next to the big park and we were going to listen to Evening in Old Seville and have a nice picnic, Mom was watching Kade, sleeping in, blah blah blah. About an hour after arrival, which he was super excited about...he got a painful migraine. Ouch. We ate dinner downstairs, listened to a little of the music from the hammock in the courtyard and then went to bed early. He couldn't sleep...the air conditioner froze up, they switched our rooms, took too long to cool, T could tell K was frustrated...4:00am ...went home to get in our bed and take some stronger medication (thought about the ER)...woke up around 11am...still migraine. I mean, REALLY???? Dear Lord, please take K's headache away. It was the thought that counts, right? Happy Birthday, Kevin. I love you. Headache, I hate you, so go away. Boo.

See The Lee House here...

Ended up here...

Let's step it up, Trollyo

So, I've decided to really step it up a notch with my workouts and nutrition. I'm sure I will cheat at least once a day, since I became obsessed with food 31 years ago. Therefore, I need to step it up. Hubs gave me a sprint workout yesterday and my legs are feeling the consequences. I love that feeling. Inspired by my friend Cinda (high five girl), Tara needs to abstain from calories over a certain threshold and kick some hiny and lose 20 lbs. Maybe putting it out there will help with the accountability factor. In other words, I am asking to be added to your prayer list. I guess that means I have to weigh in, so we'll get on that dreadful piece of equipment in the morning. Evening weigh ins are a bad idea. ...let's add another workout playlist on that ipod and increase that VO2 max me.

MQ: Does nobody like the movie quote game as much as I do. It's not really that fun to play by myself. Trust me...I do that all the time already. Love you anyway.
