Auburn, Come On with the Parking Rules!

So, we finally make it back to Auburn for the big game this past weekend. I'm so pumped to take Kade to tailgate for the very first time. We always go hang out with Jennifer & Darcy and their families. We miss you, Tiff! She's too busy flying around the country. Anyway, we were all having a grand ole time for a couple of hours before I headed to take Kade to the babysitter. I was meeting Kevin at the car, and I got the call. He was lost. Suddenly, my heart felt like it dropped a foot. As I watched the tow truckers go to town on the way, I felt sick to my stomach. We had been towed from the place we have parked for the past several years. There is no where to park unless you purchase a spot, or you live in a condo/apt./whatever. Therefore, people are actually buying condos so they have a place to hang out and a spot to park! Well, they do have the money and it would be amazing. And, the tow folks are throwing high fives as they pick up these cars at $100 a pop. I wanted to get my car as quick as possible since I had a 7 month old that needed to go to bed at some point that night. My dear friend, Jennifer, was going to drop me off and as we were getting my car, somehow, her car locked while she held the key device but the actual keys were still in it and it was running! Luckily, I had just gotten Kade out. What else could happen? We called AAA who then dispatched a guy in Miami! Like, he was going to help. The police department wouldn't help unless the baby was in the car, or an animal. It didn't matter that we had a pregnant lady, a baby screaming his head off and we were in a parking lot/garage that was right out of a scene from Adventures in Babysitting. Nightmare. After AAA failed us, we decided to leave the car (running), get the extra key from Eric so he and Kevin could go ahead and go in to the game since they were chomping at the bit. Once we went back, I had had enough. I opted out of the game. All I really wanted to do was curl up with my little man, Kade and go to sleep. Not sure we will be back this season. That was enough frustration for a while. We will head to GA Tech to see my little brother. Anyway, we did have a wonderful time spending the night at the Lake with the Baileys! And, we managed to get some more adorable photos of Special K.

West Florida gets a "W"

Well, the West Florida Jags finally pulled out a win...a big win. 35-0. This is the school's first win in 4 years and only shut out in its history. The school hasn't been around that long, but still. My dad and Kevin moved over to the school last year. Before they came, they had only scored like 6 points in two years or something like that..don't take my word on the stats. Anyway, last year they contested several teams, but they never won. They scored high points in several games though so the improvement made us all feel it was coming. Well, Friday night, it came. The fans went crazy. My dad and hubby were so excited which can only make me happy. It was an answered prayer. I know you shouldn't pray for a win, but it was wearing on all of them. God hears even those prayers we think might be insignificant to him. Go Jags! Here are some pics.

Sleep

Wow, I got a lot of good advice after my last blog. However, I think I didn't write what I meant to say. You see, Kade was going to sleep beautifully up until about a week ago. We had used the crying out method. He did great. However, about a week ago, he started waking up frequently. I was hoping he wasn't reverting back to his old ways, and I just didn't want to have to go through the crying it out thing again. I started questioning that method for us and everything. Well, it turns out...Baby Kade has croup virus? Basically, it is cold-like symptoms but luckily no fever with him. He has wanted to be held almost all night, mainly because he doesn't feel good. Which, makes me feel bad that I was trying to let him cry himself to sleep again and didn't realize my baby boy was sick. Poor thang! Anyway, he hasn't had to miss daycare since he hasn't had a fever. The doc told him to go back to school and "give it back to the daycare" since that's probably what gave it to him. Gotta love him. Well, just wanted to brief you on everything. It is good to know that people actually read my blog. Have I mentioned how much I love my kid! I think he's the only baby that enjoys me sucking snot out of his nose. He finds it humorous.
