Update

For some reason, when I upload pictures, it doesn't show the pic until I post it, so I can't really add any captions. Kade is getting so big and has a phenomenal little personality. I fall in love more and more every minute, as if that is possible. He is sitting up for as long as he wants to really. He started daycare and loves it. He has 3 teachers. One of which is legally blind. She is truly amazing. Mrs. Leah calls Kade "her baby" and he loves her! She goes to get her seeing eye dog in September, so he will miss her. I love Kade's daycare. Of course, they all know me since I frequently visit.
Football season has started, so we don't get to see Kevin nearly as much. Kade went from staying with him daily to seeing him right before he goes to bed. So sad. What must he be thinking?
We finally had Kade just putting himself to sleep when we laid him in the crib. He was doing so well for a while, but he is starting to revert or something is bothering him the past couple of nights. It could be that daycare is spoiling him since they rock him to sleep. Isn't that what they made rockers for anyway? We let him cry it out for about a week, and I just don't think I can go through that again. I have mixed feelings about it anyway. Such as, how do we know when he really needs us? What if he is not feeling well and just wants mommy to hold him? What if he is in a growth spurt? It can't be good for his vocal chords or heart rate? Why would I want my baby to feel sick and exhausted just so I can get out of a few minutes of rocking that beauty to sleep. I mean, these are just a few of my thoughts. I think it's just different for everyone. I did read on Kellymom.com (the best website) that babies do learn to put themself to sleep. It went on to question why we would let a baby cry themself to exhaustion and "give up" that mom will come get them. Sometimes, that can lead to withdrawal, etc...I mean, is there ever just one answer. No.
I will just pray daily that I am raising my child the way the Lord desires. If it's his will, it's best for my boy.
With that said, at Kade's 6 month check up in mid-August, he was 17 lbs and almost 27inches. He laughs, reaches, sits up, rolls over and over and over, and many more amazing things. He has started solids. He gets rice cereal, sweet potatoes (not sure how he feels about them though), and has just started whole grain oatmeal. He loved it. We are taking it slow with the solids. Well, that's enough for now. You probably stopped reading a while ago anyway.

First Day at Daycare & Shots...Come on, Mom!

Well, Kade started daycare today and I had to pick him up early for his 6 month check up. Poor planning on my part. He has now forgiven me and is sleeping soundly in the cribster. Here's a few shots of his first day. He is wearing his "Noah's Ark" outfit, and that is the name of his daycare. He's a keeper.

Cousin Luke was dedicated July 20th. He did great during the first service and pitched a fit the second one. It was cute. He finally started talking. I guess that means he is meant for the stage.The next few pics are after a bath. I had fun with Kade's hair. I forgot to flip the pic...just turn your noggin'.

Kade is growing to love his bouncy chair. He definitely has to be in the mood. Orion is just always curious about his contraptions. He's green with envy.

Kade and I finished our first 5K since his birth. It was so hot and humid mom wanted to die and Kade, obviously, worked extremely hard.
